We™™ve had this fridge for a bit now and it is definitely a looker, we got it so we can panel it to blend into our kitchen. The top shelf will freeze all of your food so the salads get gross and food gets frozen solid. Only on this shelf also our ice maker broke year 1, don™™t skimp on the extended warranty!! We™™ve had the repair man out 4 times for this fridge in the first 2 years sadly. Also it™™s not very deep you can™™t fit a pizza box in there with left overs like most fridges.

I purchased this fridge for a new contemporary home I built, thinking it would bring the sleek, hidden look blending in with the cabinetry. The gauging stainless steel trim is exposed all the way around and the whole fridge protrudes 3/4 inch, in addition to the water dispenser being a plated stainless steel look. What a tacky piece of garbage.

This is by far the loudest refrigerator I™™ve ever heard. It may be 2 weeks or 3 months and it™™s quiet then all the sudden it sounds like a plane landing in my kitchen. Also need to talk about the ice maker. Ice spills over the container into the freezer. When you open the door it falls all over the floor. DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR!! High end piece of junk.

My refrigerator has just been installed and I am so disappointed. After waiting several months and spending $13,000, I am almost sick. Cheaply made. Dispenser has no drain. Ice maker not working properly and the chrome trim is not as pictured. In fact does not even show chrome trim on the picture. I guess I am just stick with it.

Multiple calls out for repairs

We™™ve had multiple repairs since installing. We have lived in our home with this fridge for a year and a half. The ice dispenser would not spin- motor replaced, the touch panel would not switch between ice, water etc- panel motherboard needed to be replaced and still only works 1/2 the time, after a year and a half the fridge started to continuously trip the GFCI breaker that was installed per code- first they switched out the compressor which didn™™t fix the problem. Then told us we needed an electrician to put in a non-GFCI breaker. We had a lot of hassle from the electrician saying this was ™illegal™ and ™not to code™ but the appliance repairman called GE and they said this is what had to be done. So the electrician reluctantly replaced the breaker and it corrected the problem. No other appliance in our house has needed a service call. We have also owned many refrigerators with out these issues. But we chose it because it™™s pretty with the water dispenser on the outside for convenience.

Everything works well. I like the filter being in the top area now. The only odd thing is that the ice cubes are smaller. Possibly to fit into the tall water bottles that can now be filled in the talker ice maker.

This luxury refrigerator is extremely loud at sporadic times. It will operate at an acceptable noise level for a day or two then sound like an airplane is taking off in the kitchen which is extremely upsetting for the cost. Also, the drawers feel "cheap". They don't operate smoothly. The ice maker container is not as wide as the inside of the freezer so it spits ice on to the shelves below. When you open the door they either fall out or are laying on the food. As for the space, I can't complain especially for a counter depth refrigerator. As beautiful as it looks, if I had it to do over again I would not purchase this luxury brand. Frankly my 20 year old refrigerator was more quiet.

It leaks. The water comes out VERY slow, the ice machine already broke. The water (while slow) gets stuck so have an extra cup to catch whatever keeps flowing out.

We had an early version of this frig when we bought our home. It stopped working and we bought a new one. It was surprising that the internal options did not improve much over the 7+ years (or longer) that the last version had. We had to get a new panel cut for the dispenser because the shape of the opening changed. Also the WiFi capability does not work. Lastly, it is expensive and we replaced it during Covid so the lead time was 7 weeks (the prior frig failed). Despite this, the frig has worked well and looks good.

we bought this fridge to replace the Kitchenaid built in we had for 25 years which we loved. This was the only one that would fit our space - we did have to re-do our custom panels but thankfully my husband is very handy and did an amazing job. Our only issue is the lights in the freezer are very dull - is there any way to brighten this up? The ice is smaller which is great for my water bottles but they do not fit in the service area the prior fridge angled out for easy dispensing now I need to use a transfer container. But very thankful for the room and brightness of the overall refrigerator.

Fit and finish not as good as on the 20 year old 48" Monogram this one replaced. Installation instructions could use clarification. Handles on the old fridge were excellent extrusions & included with it. New one had no handles... only available at an egregious price of over $500 extra... not noted in original description. Should have looked at other brands before replacing with this one which should have been an easy replacement for the earlier 48" GE Monogram built-in. We'll make it work, but disappointing design changes.

Although this requires paneling, the GE Monogram that it replaced came with robust extruded aluminum handles. The assumption with the present replacement appears to be that one would supply cabinet handles for the fridge. The handles available that are similar to the old ones are priced in excess of $500... an outrageous price for something that should have been included. The general fit and finish of this model appear to be less than that of the GE Monogram that it replaces. It's probably OK, but in some ways a disappointment.

Our new GE Monogram was ordered and paid in full in August 2020, but was not delivered until October,2020. We were very excited to finally receive the refrigerator having been without a refrigerator in our kitchen for 2 months. Everything seemed to be going well until the refrigerator stopped working 2 weeks after it was delivered. We were told that 2 parts were needed to repair it but one wouldn't be available until the end of December or early January. At this point we accepted GE's option to replace the faulty refrigerator with a new one since we were promised a much better two week option. I cannot comment on customer service here but I will close by saying my new refrigerator finally arrived on February 25, 2021. I really wish someone from GE would contact me about the inconvenience and aggravation that my husband and I had to withstand.

I love the look of the fridge, but a couple things that I wish were better. The process for leveling is extremely difficult and it is noisier than I would have hoped. For being counter depth, it is very spacious. Also, I wish the butter section door stayed open but it closed automatically.

I have had this refrigerator installed for about 6 months. Pros: It is a nice size for my family of 4 including two growing boys. Cons: The water comes out very slowly. Had GE repair man look at it and could not find anything wrong with it. The repair man was helpful with other issues that he fixed. My main issue is that the trim on the water/ice dispenser only comes in stainless. I wish there was a black stainless option for this. For such an expensive refrigerator, there should be finish options for any exposed metal.

Ice and water dispenser is awful. It is a lemon. Takes too long to dispense water and ice. Both the selection and dispensing mechanisms are not responsive. I owned the previous version of this fridge and liked it enough to replace it with the new model. The new version is a total lemon. I regret my purchase.

Icemaker sucks

$10,000 Fridge that we purchased so we could have a built in with ice/water through the door and we have had the icemaker freeze up three times and have resulting ice all over the freezer when the icemaker cycles but the water can't get to the tray because the little receiving tray on the top of the icemaker has frozen up. I have a service call scheduled in a week and am very curious what the resolution will be. If this happens and we are not home and it leaks on our brand new hardwood floors, GE will be replacing a good deal more than an icemaker.

I hate the dispenser. We had the previous model for 17 years and was very happy so we bought another. We were never told the size of the 2020 model dispenser was a different size and had to have the wood panel completely redone. In addition to the size, the performance of the dispenser is also a disappointment. Very slow and difficult to use.

We are extremely unhappy with the ice and water dispenser. The picture on this review page is unlike what was delivered to our home. The dispenser size is different requiring we have a new panel created and faux painted to match the other panel and our cabinets. The interface is different in the 2020 model as well. The water dispenses at a snail's pace; much much slower than the previous Monogram. The ice dispenses slower too. Also the mechanism to engage the ice and water is difficult to press and use. We did not know there were differences in the dispenser until it was delivered to our home. We purchased this refrigerator because we had the same model for 17 years and were very happy with it. I would like to have the old dispenser or for this one to be more robust. It feels cheap and is inadequate.
