3years owning Repair needed

Purchased September 2020 could not get delivery until mid October 2020. At 3 years old compressor went out. Lost a whole lot of food. Took a week to get service done. Repair person was early that day and did a good job. I like the bottom freezer reason we bought it and the width was the right size for the small space it has to fit in our kitchen.

I bought this refrigerator five years ago and thats all lasted five years. The compressor went out then I find out LG has a class action lawsuit against them. You should be ashamed for putting out such a poor product for an appliance to last only five years is totally ridiculous. Broken Within 4 Months of Purchase

Brand new fridge purchased in May 2023. A fuse bust in the mainframe and my fridge was completely broken and unusable by August 2023. The repair person said that with this model this kind of fuse bust is common. For that reason I would definitely recommend against getting this model.

Love the fridge and freezer however at now just under 5 years old it failed us. Would not keep Temperature cool enough. Lost a freezer full of food. LG has failed us in providing a resolution. Almost two weeks later and they leaving us hanging. Will never buy a LG again.

My 1st LG Frig

I purchased a smaller size 22 ft. refrigerator French door from Home Depot. The purchase was easy. The delivery was excellent. Unfortunately the product was defective. I immediately started getting error codes on the refrigerator and made arrangements to send it back. But it became such a hassle that I thought that I should at least try a technician first to see if they could find out the problem. It turned out that it was a defective fan. The technician came as they promised and ordered a new part for the refrigerator. It has not been installed yet but theyre due any moment now. My only complaint is its supposed to be a new product right out of the box and it ended up being defective. Other than that the refrigerator met our needs as far as size and function.

Unpredictable inconsistent temperature control

We bought this refrigerator in January 2023. The BIGGEST PROBLEM: In March we noticed that sometimes items in the fridge compartment were getting frozen even though we had the thermostat set to 38 or 39. Sometimes we could thaw meat in the fridge other times it would still be rock hard frozen two days later. Wed wake up to find salads frozen and ruined or the milk chunky. It wasnt always stuff in the same location either top bottom middle left right and it wasnt consistent. For a couple months we tried rearranging things and making sure vents werent blocked to see if it would get better but it kept happening. A separate thermometer placed on the middle shelf confirmed that it was sometimes getting down to 31 degrees in the fridge despite being set to 38. But we couldnt just turn up the temperature because sometimes it really was close to 38 and if we turned up the temp to be in the 40s wed risk bacteria growing during those warm spells. SMALLER PROBLEMS: The supports underneath the split-shelving in the center of the fridge are so tall that you can only put very flat items under them. And do NOT try to slide anything from one side to the other because it is likely to catch on the supports. The fridge actually holds a lot less than other fridges of the same outer dimensions because of the way things are structured inside.

Great for a short time

My husband and I were so excited about this fridge. But its been two years and now the freezer/ice maker is constantly making a LOUD knocking noice. It also started leaking and making the ice bin one large piece of ice in the bin. Very annoying and probably costly to fix.

Our old fridge died and we needed to replace quickly. Actually bought same model as our old one due to size restrictions and we do like all of the inside features but really wish we had waited and ordered a white finish rather than buying the stainless steel one which was in stock. It shows every fingerprint and handprint. Its bad enough when its just my husband and me but when any of our grandchildren visit its that much worse. Im forever trying to wipe it down but some of the prints still show. And the front is not magnetic so I cant display any of the photos or magnets that used to be on my old fridge. Very disappointed. One more thingthe stainless steel door reflects the light coming in from the kitchen window. Not happy with that either. So wish we could have waited for the white one.

Perfect Fit?

I bought this refrigerator a few years ago. I have a small home with a galley kitchen and this model fits ALMOST perfectly. The only issue I have is that the right door cannot fully open due to a wall. One problem I do have is that I cannot remove the glass plate that is on top of the drawers to clean underneath it. Any suggestions? Otherwise I love it.

With just 2 of us now we didnt need a humongous frig so we got this one perfect size and lots of room to spare. The lighting is nice-- also there is no odd bump hanging down from ceiling to prevent taller things from sliding in near middle of top shelf. It looks great runs well and seems well-constructed

I needed a smaller refrigerator and this one is the perfect size. Makes ice great. Only poor design is the shelf design. Horrible design. The shelves can only be side by side. I purposely bought this one because the shelves were individual not all one . You have to remove a shelf to be able to put tall items . You can not put the shelf in the other side. Wish I had known that.

Best choice for small spaces

We have an older kitchen with limited space between cabinets for the frig. This is one of very few which will fit the space and we appreciate the french door configuration since weve got a doorway to dining room 90 degrees from the frig doors. The lighting inside is great and we like the large shallow drawer on bottom of frig portion for take bake pizza The freezer portion has great organization too. When our prior frig died we were so worried we would not be able to find something to fit our space---whew were we ever glad to find this LG design in stock and delivered in 1 week

Great refrigerator works perfectly very quiet

This LG fridge is great keeps cold easy to use and keep clean. Lighting inside is sufficient. One small complaint a design flaw has vegetable box vents that stick up above the bottom tray so when you try to slide your milk or water container onto the shelf it hits this 3/4 high plastic tab. This is the ONLY problem with this machine and it is a problem.

I bought this refrigerator about a month ago. We were looking for a smaller one due to the space it needed to go in. I wanted one with a bottom freezer. I had a real hard time finding one. Then I saw this one in a camper and wrote down the model number. called around and found that model at a lowes store went and looked at it. I liked it so went back to chafers where we buy all our appliances and they ordered me one. I havent had it that long but I really like it. the freezer keeps the ice cream nice and hard. I can put my milk in the door. the shelves are adjustable. I just really like it.

Fridge stopped working and so did the freezer bring a single mom that is not fun when we all know that things are so expensive. I called the number in the product book and found that the parts were still under warranty and they had someone come out the next day to fix it

Issues with ice makers

Bought 6 months ago and had to have specialty ice maker replaced after 4 months. Now i have been without regular ice maker for a month. Had 3 technicians cone over 4 times and it is still not fixed. They have ordered another part to see if that works. They replaced ice maker 4 times replaced door replaced main PCB board still not working. Very very disappointed witg this refrigerator.

After years of wanting a French door refrigerator I finally realized at 80 years old if I wanted to enjoy it I needed to buy it now. My problem was the space I had for a refrigerator was small it had to be no more than 30 inches wide. Also I did not want water/ice available on the door. My new LG fit the bill perfectly. Although it juts out a bit more than my previous refrigerator it is not obtrusive. I especially like the large door containers easy to group items used together together like mustard ketchup etc. I did have to lower one shelf but the adjacent shelf has a small lip to prevent items from falling off. The deli drawer is especially handy for lunch meats cheeses soda cans. I did not hook up the automatic icemaker I am just as happy with ice trays. That also gives me a bit more freezer space. The bottom freezer did take a bit of getting used to but I like it now.

We brought this French door LG fridge about 3 weeks ago now. Family of 3/ two dogs it has worked out for us. First LG appliance we have brought. Love the look in our kitchen. Great shelving on the doors. The luncheon/cheese section works out great. The center three shelves hold all of our many containers/packaged food items.
