Doesnt Hold Up

Bought this 18 months ago. Lint filter broke I had an error code of te1 which said it was the thermistor. Well I tested the Thermistor and it was fine found the thermostat was not functioning. Replaced that started to spin and then got the same error code. Wound up replacing the circuit board. So since I fixed the machine myself I saved on the absorbent rates you would pay to have someone diagnose replace the parts. The parts wound up costing me $250. If you had to pay someone to do that it wouldve cost more to do the job than I paid for the dryer. And LG is very strict with there silly one year warranty they wont even give you discounts on the parts. They also have no tech support. Seems like only warrantying a circuit board for one year is ridiculous because this seems to be a common problem their error codes are meaningless because the error code I got had nothing to do with the Thermistor.

Have paint on the rim peeling and dryer from the first day does notary clothes completely on first cycle. Poor quality product and LG will not stand up to the fact that they have an issue with the peeling paint.

Dryer has a lot of design issues

We have had this dryer for less than 4 years and have had so many problems with it. It leaks water but does not have a steam function. It has peeling paint around the door. Lint collects around the outer edge of the door and seal. The problem is not with the vent outside either because that is all new and has minimal turns and a short run to get outside. The grate in front of the lint trap has broken multiple times and twice the technician came out with parts that were not correct for what was needed or broken replacement parts. Sadly I have had about 8 technicians out to my house and none of these issues have been resolved. I have to clean the lower part of the door seal with each use. It has been a lot. I cannot recommend this dryer.

The dryer needs a redesign as the lint trap gets caught on small blankets and tangles them. The trap has been replaced twice and each time they snapped on the corner.

Builds up lint in dryer vent

On a yearly basis I need to have the dryer vent cleaned as otherwise I get error messages and ultimately the drier stops working. Getting the vent cleaned is a nuisance as my drier is stacked on top of my washing machine in All fairness this may be an issue with the installation and not the machine.

They dont make them like they used to

The dryer and all its options and space is awesome But weve had more issues with drying things all the way than our other dryers. Sensor is fine but its been tricky trying to figure it out and ultimately deal with it. For being 2 years old it seems weird. My other dryers this problem was the beginning of the end but we could just switch to time dry and get a few more years out it. Our other recurring problem is lint build up pushing the trap up yes we clean it each time and eventually the trap starts catching clothing and destroying it. Eventually said clothing pulls the trap out and it goes through the tumbling in the dryer and breaks. We are on lint trap #2 in 2 a year and a half. Finally bought a dryer cleaning attachment so I can try to prevent it. Never had this problem on my old dryers.

Flawed design of lint filter

Have gone through three lint filters since owning this product. Flawed design that LG doesnt want to address. Damages clothes by getting caught on the corner of filter and twists them in up in a ball.

Called company and talked to several girls one which had a crying baby through the whole conversation. The paint is peeling off this dryer. High price and poor quality for sure and they dont care. Was also unable to upload a photo on this site
