This is my second one same exact one hope it lasts longer.my first one caught fire the bottom of microwave paint peeled exposing metal then one day it wouldn™€™t shut off. Love how easy to operate . I smelled wires burning and had to get rid of!!!!

This appliance is loud. Especially when I press start for the first second or two. It's like an engine gunning up, then it quiets down a level. I hope the extra loud noise isn't an indication that there's something wrong with it. Otherwise, it's okay. I like the express cook feature. I mostly use the microwave to heat things and this appliance works fine for that. My previous microwave had a 13 1/2" plate, which was a good size for the type of things I heat, so I was pleased to find a microwave of this size, with the express cook option and in white.

It worked fine for four months then began a loud grinding noise on the turntable whenever product was used and seemed very unsafe to continue using. Also had concerns that the item appeared flimsy when opening and closing door compared to my previous Panasonic which had lasted 6+ years.

It's a great microwave and works really well. Ease of use is simplistic and straight forward. One complaint...in this day and age the door opener and closer could be more up to date with the times. This system of door lock has been around since I worked in a steel mill.

1150 watts takes 2.5 minutes to heat a cup of tea. Thats what customer service told me. My 1000 watt microwave did it 1 or 1. 30 . it's on hi power, so is my microwave defective. Inside and display is deem. Too many complaints on this item from lighting to cooking to longevity. Have made three calls to customer service no helpful answers

Heats well and controls are good. Push button is smooth. Inside light is ok. LED display is barely visible in daylight (its weak point). Best *white* microwave in this size & power (better than MagicChef and Panasonic)

Today got oven at Lowe's at a sales price. It is the power and capacity I wanted. Dimensions and features meet my needs. Controls easy to use. The child lock can be turned off. It was well packed in box. I tried out its running and heated a cup of water in 1 min. Will see how it performs over time.

Just what we were looking for capacity and power, one issue is that the internal light is to dim and with the dark glass its hard to see inside when it's cooking, can a brighter bulb be used? Also clock display needs to be brighter.

I'm disappointed that I could not find the GE that had the 1200 watts but they did have the 1150 watts... So we had to settle for that one. It's not of course as powerful as the other one but it does the job I just have to increase time that I keep things. Flag of learning curve but it's okay.

My new GE 1.6 cu. ft. microwave was a very good buy. It's powerful, 1150 watts and very roomy without taking up too much counter space. I would have rated it at 5 stars but the display is dim and the cycle-complete beeper is wimpy and tough to hear.

We've had this microwave less than a month, but so far we love it. The size is perfect, even for large items. It heats much faster than our old microwave. The controls are intuitive, and we easily disabled the child lock function (we have no kids around), which made it even easier to use. The only negative I can think of is the time display is a bit dim, but we can live with that!

This unit is the updated version of the same model we replaced, however, when running, its cabinet/frame vibrates LOUDLY. You can stop the vibration by pressing its sides but this is no way to live. No wonder on the Home Depot website it says No Returns. Utter crap.

Product is sharp looking. All the buttons work fine. Instructions are easy to read and understand. Only 1 issue. . . the lighted display is extremely faint. With normal room lighting, you will find it challenging to read. There is no adjustment to make it 'brighter'. Checked out 2 other new units on the shelf, right out of the box, same weak display. . . be advised.

Our 8 year old GE microwave failed last night. Searching for the old model number, this model showed up with similar features. Slightly deeper in size but fits in our cabinet fine. Controls are the same as the old unit but rearranged slightly. The only negative issue pertains to illumination. The panel display and the internal light are much dimmer.
